    1. The Challenge

    • Mac’s Truck Sales Ltd are looking to find the best crane truck operator in the UK by putting the very best to the ultimate test in the Mac’s Official British Crane Operator Championships 2026 (the “Challenge”).

    • The Challenge will take place over a series of 3 or 4 heats (the “Heats”) at our site in Huddersfield, by testing your operating skills, precision, and dexterity in two timed trials.

    • The top three finalists from each Heat will go on to compete in the final face-off challenge (the “Final”).

    • A full explanation of the tests and the rules regarding how you complete the Challenge will be provided by a Mac’s Representative at the Heats.

    2. Entry and Registration

    • Entries to the Challenge will be accepted online prior to the Heats via the form on this page: https://macstrucks.co.uk/crane-challenge/. We will have a very limited number of on-the-day sign-up slots available.

    • Each participant can only have one entry time; therefore, if a participant competes in more than one Heat, their fastest overall time from the Heats will be submitted as their entry time to the Challenge.

    • The Challenge is not open to anyone employed by Mac’s.

    3. Participant Requirements and Safety

    • Participants must be over 18, holding a valid and in-date ALLMI, CPCS, or NPORS operators card which will need to be submitted as part of the registration process and checked upon arrival.

    • Under 18s are allowed to attend the events as spectators but must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times at their own risk.

    • Participants must wear their own steel toe-capped boots. Mac’s will provide a safety hat and high-visibility clothing.

    • Participants will have a maximum time limit of 6 minutes to complete the timed trials. Practice time will be available from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at our FASSI familiarisation station.

    4. Prizes and Winners

    • Each participant will receive a Mac’s branded gift for taking part.

    • The 10 fastest participants from each Heat (the “Heat Winners”) will go through to the Final.

    • There will be three winners of first, second, and third by reference to the fastest time, with a tie-breaker challenge if necessary.

    • The prizes for the winners of the Final will be as follows: 1st Prize – £1500, 2nd Prize – £1000, 3rd Prize – £500.

    • No other sustenance, expenses, or spending money are included other than as expressly stated. The winners and any travelling companions are solely responsible for their own travel arrangements, including but not limited to any passports, visas, insurance, spending money, and any other additional travel costs or expenses.

    • The cash prizes are non-exchangeable and there is no alternative to any of the prizes.

    • Mac’s decision is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.

    • Participants accept that, if they win, Mac’s will have the right to use their name and country of residence for the purposes of announcing the Winner(s). The Winner(s) may be required to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the Challenge.
