Should I opt for a Cheesewedge or Beavertail?

Answer

If you are just moving self-driving machinery and wheeled equipment then a Beavertail is your best bet, allowing easy loading and a large payload. However, if your business takes on a larger variety of work, a Cheesewedge is perfect for you.

What types of crane are available?

We are a FASSI Gold Installer & Dealer, so naturally we mainly fit FASSI cranes to our Cheesewedge body trucks. These cranes are known for their strength, reliability, power-to-weight ratio, and fantastic reach.

We have options available from 26T-32T 6×2 – 8×2, with plenty of available in stock or build so you don’t have to wait.

What’s the difference between a crane & HIAB truck?

Answer

A crane truck is a rigid or tractor unit with a crane fitted to the vehicle for the loading, unloading and lifting of goods. HIAB is a make of cranes for trucks but in recent years has been used more and more as a general term for a truck with a crane (think Hoover vs Vacuum Cleaner).

The payload on your crane truck will vary on several factors including the size and weight of the crane used. On our large crane builds such as the FASSI F990, we use 25% lighter materials without sacrificing any body strength or yield, to ensure a good payload is achievable.
