Supporting a vital local service
The Welcome Centre recently launched an appeal to replace their old delivery van, which was no longer fit for purpose. Their new Renault Trafic — fitted with custom wooden panelling to maximise loading space — will be used daily to collect food donations, deliver emergency parcels, and distribute essential items across the community.
In a thoughtful touch, Mac’s also provided detachable magnetic signage for the van. This allows The Welcome Centre team to remove branding when making discreet deliveries to individuals and families who may prefer privacy when receiving support — helping ensure dignity and compassion remain at the heart of their service.
“The Mac’s team are delighted to share that another successful year has allowed us to give back in a meaningful way — by providing The Welcome Centre with a brand-new delivery van. This vehicle will help them continue their vital work delivering food parcels, starter packs, and other essentials to those who need them most.
Our success as a business is built on teamwork — people are at the heart of everything we do. Over the past year, our colleagues have shown incredible determination and resilience in their fundraising efforts for The Welcome Centre, overcoming every challenge with grit and perseverance.
It serves as a powerful reminder that any one of us can face unexpected hardships, and organisations like The Welcome Centre are there to offer support when it’s needed most.”

Making a difference together
The Welcome Centre described the donation as a “true lifeline” that will transform their ability to respond quickly to those in need.
“We are absolutely thrilled and deeply grateful to Mac’s Truck Sales for the generous donation of a van. This incredible gift is a true lifeline for our organisation — enabling us to deliver essential packs, collect donations, and respond swiftly wherever help is needed. Having reliable transport will make a world of difference to our daily operations and to the people we support. Thanks to Mac’s, we can reach more families, run more efficiently, and continue making a real impact in our community every single day.”
