We’ve been in the industry for 50+ years, and this HAS to be one of the best trucks we’ve built.

Some businesses treat a truck build like a line item on a balance sheet. They want it fast, they want it functional, and they want high performance.

But when you’ve spent 40 years carving out a high reputation, a “standard” build is an insult to the history of the firm. R L Miller needed a moving monument to four decades of graft across Ayrshire.

The challenge wasn’t just fitting a massive crane onto a chassis. It was the obsession with detail. How do you integrate high-end toolboxes without ruining the lines of a custom airbrushed mural? How do you create a finish on a catwalk that looks like art but works like a heavy-duty tool?

We certainly didn’t take the easy route. Our team spent hours hand-sanding every individual square of the painted chequered catwalk to create a raw, tactile contrast you can’t get from a machine. We tucked the storage deep inside the side skirts, hiding the utility behind the story of the Miller fleet—from the site’s early days to the modern powerhouse it is today.
